Which list you read should depend on the night. Michelin is an inspectors' guide: it sorts restaurants into stars, a Bib Gourmand for value and a Recommended list, which makes it a sensible start for a planned special night. Resy's Hit List is a ranking for a single month (August 2026 in the edition used here) of places drawing attention, so it suits finding a trending table. It is a buzz list, not a verdict on the cooking, and that is a fair use for it. The two answer different questions.
A third kind of source is the local city guide and local press, which here mostly relay Michelin's results. The Miami Guide says the 2026 Florida selection came out May 28 and was the first to cover the whole state, and that Miami and Miami Beach hold 18 Michelin Stars, the most of any Florida destination. Patch gives the same ceremony date. Resy's August Hit List ranks 20 venues.
One sourcing point, stated plainly: Michelin's own guide pages are not among the sources linked here, so every Michelin designation below is reported by a named third party, and each pick says which. The two lists meet at Tâm Tâm and Mutra. They part ways at L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, COTE and Slim's.
1. Tâm Tâm: Bib Gourmand and Hit List No. 1
This is the clearest overlap. In its 2026 Michelin roundup, Resy says Tâm Tâm continues to head the Bib Gourmand list, the Michelin designation for great value. Resy's August 2026 Hit List ranks it first of 20 and gives another reason: a Downtown spot modeled on Vietnamese quán nhậu drinking taverns.
Value on one list, concept and atmosphere on the other. Both come from Resy, so this is one outlet reading two different lists.
2. Mutra: Michelin star and Hit List No. 3
Mutra, in North Miami, was one of two new star recipients in 2026, according to Resy. Patch, reporting on Michelin's listing, says diners are urged to sit at the chef counter and that the locally sourced menu changes frequently.
The Hit List puts Mutra third and notes it was recently the first strictly kosher restaurant to receive a Michelin star. The Miami Guide makes the same first-kosher point.
3. COTE Miami: one star, not on the Hit List
Resy's Michelin write-up describes COTE Miami, a one-star Korean steakhouse in the Design District, as quickly becoming as in demand as its New York original, with a $225 steak omakase. The Miami Guide's one-star list includes it too, spelled Cote.
Resy's Hit List leaves it out of the top 20, even though Resy elsewhere calls it in demand.
4. Hiden: one star for a hidden omakase counter
In its Michelin guide, Resy lists Hiden in Wynwood as a one-star, eight-seat omakase speakeasy tucked behind a taco stand. The Miami Guide also puts Hiden among Miami's one-star restaurants. Resy's stated draw is the format: a tiny counter with a hidden entrance. Both outlets are relaying the same Michelin designation.
5. Le Jardinier Miami: one star with a Robuchon link
Resy lists Le Jardinier Miami as a one-star Design District restaurant in its Michelin roundup and notes that culinary director Alain Verzeroli is a Robuchon protégé. The Miami Guide names Le Jardinier in its one-star list as well. The reason Resy offers is the kitchen's lineage.
Where the verdicts differ
Resy calls L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Florida's only two-star Michelin restaurant, and The Miami Guide calls it Miami's only two-star. Neither gives a reason we can quote, and the Hit List leaves it out of its top 20. That is why it is not a numbered pick here.
The Hit List's No. 2 is Slim's, a Stephen Starr steakhouse in Bal Harbour Shops that Resy notes is not in the Michelin lists shown. Bistro Ocho runs the other way: The Miami Guide says it newly joined Michelin's Recommended list, and the Hit List has it at No. 19.
Local press can add a wrinkle. The Miami Guide lists Cotoa among four new Miami Bib Gourmands, and Patch does too. Time Out Miami reported that the Michelin-recognized restaurant is closing in North Miami, with extra seats promised.
